PCAA Sept Meeting

Meeting called to order by President Eric Markwardt at 7.00 pm.
Members Present:
Larry L Johnson, Dave Swenson, Eric Markwardt, Terri Klawiter, Dick
Wall, Tony Brantner, Scott Jones, Jody L Johnson, Shane Lardahl, Darren
Place, Todd Johnson, John Marko, Ruth A Esanbach, Ron Anderson, Devin

Monthly Meeting Location Discussion
President Markwardt brought up the neutral location issue for
discussion. Options considered were continuing to rotate the meetings
around to bar/restaurant sponsors, holding the meetings in a dedicated
room at a sponsor's location, and holding the meetings in a neutral
location. After a vigorous and lengthy debate, motion by Ron Anderson,
second by Terri Klawiter, to hold our monthly meetings on a 6 month
trial basis at the EOC room in the basement of the Pierce County
Courthouse in Ellsworth. Motion passed 15-2 on a show of hands.
Secretary's Report
Dick Wall passed out copies of the August minutes and offered
comments. Dave Swenson offered one correction. Motion by Scott
Jones, second by Dave Swenson to accept Secretary's report.
Motion passed.
Treasurer's Report
Tony Brantner passed out copies of the Treasurer's Report and offered
expert analysis. For the month of August income was $1465.50 from
dues, donations, the Pierce County Fair tractor pull, apparel sales,
and map sales. Expenses were $461.36 for postage, miscellaneous, sign
hardware, and map printing. This left a cash balance of $3643.05
in the checking account. Motion by Darren Place, second by Terri
Klawiter to accept Treasurer's Report. Motion passed.
Old Business
- Scott Jones offered update on the two previous Sept parades and
the upcoming Spring Valley parade on Sept 21. Lineup area
is on the far north end Spring Valley by the ballfield (just below the
dam) at noon. The parade starts at 2:00pm.
- Darren Place offered updates on Routes/Trails:
- Spring Lake Township Ordinance extended for 2 years and dead-ends opened
- Spring Valley opened up all town roads
- Gilman Ordinance expires Sept 30- to consider possible extension.
- El Paso postponed to Oct meeting
- Trail Patrol Update offered by Larry Johnson. Next local TPA class to be held in Baldwin in January.
- Landowner Appreciation/Family Fun Day update offered by Scott
Jones, Terri Klawiter, and Dave Swenson. Dave said the meat
raffle will start at 6:30pm.
- Larry Johnson said he is still working on the Pierce County Fall Club Ride.
New Business
- Eric Markwardt reported that the website hosting is up for
renewal. Cost is $63.00 per year. Motion by Dick Wall, Second by
Terri Klawiter, to extend website hosting for 1 year.
Motion passed. Eric will pay for the renewal and submit a receipt for
reimbursement.
- Eric Markwardt mentioned the WATVA NW Regional Meeting in Hayward
on Sept 28. Possible Attendees: Terri Klawiter, Dick Wall
- Todd Johnson offered an update on the 4-Bar Fundraiser and it is still being completed.
- Tony Brantner offered update on the Big Horn Breast Cancer event.
Event to begin at 5:30 following bike ride. He will head up the
meat raffle there.
Motion by Dave Swenson, Second by Jody L Johnson, to adjourn at 8:45pm. Motion passed.
